CRYSTAL 09 NEW YEARS EVE AT THE ROYAL ONTARIO MUSEUM

NEW YEAR’S EVE FALLS ON A WEDNESDAY THIS YEAR AND IT’S
TIME TO CHOOSE YOUR PARTY DESTINATION…

Guaranteed to be a unique New Year’s experience. Plan ahead, plan early, and purchase
your
Royal Ontario Museum New Years tickets ASAP to ensure entry.  This party promises
to have a more mature, “sophisticated”, and stylish party crowd.  It will be where the
Rockwood Monday’s, Lobby Wednesday’s, Ultra Friday’s, and This is London Saturday’s
crowd go to ring in their New Year.
This event will sell out, as will many of the NY Eve parties W4W Toronto will recommend.
Don’t be a last minute girl and then get stuck partying with the lackluster bar crowds.  They
don’t know how to dress, or dance and you’ll bring in the New Year with some schlep talking
your ear off.

Why We Love Winter in Toronto…

Yes it gets cold in Toronto, but not colder than a New York winter, and certainly not as blustery cold as Chicago.  So with that in mind, the night life never ends for those willing to step out in their stylish best.

We love winter in Toronto because we get to wear fabulous looking coats, the following being prime examples.

Winter Coats 2008/2009

Flattering, warm enough, and practical for getting in and out of the car.

…and deliciously sexy shoes and boots that set off any outfit

Shoes and boots 2008/2009

Bring a couple pairs to the club, so that you can switch up when your feet start hurting!

…and of course they are all in your basic black! The only color for winter that matters.  These pieces are worth the money, because you will able to style and profile in them for several winters.

Ultra – Fri Sept 12, 2008 Event Review

This was supposed to be a party hosted by Lindsay Lohan while her very talented girlfriend, Samantha Ronson DJ’ed.  Samantha showed up and ran a very hyped set for the last hour or so that Ultra remained open while Lindsay we discovered, stayed in a corner and texted on her celly.  Only those in the very front row who craned their necks got to peep her.

Ultra charged everyone $25.00 – $30.00 at the door regardless of whose guestlist you were on, and even if you arrived there at 9:00pm.

Lesson learned: Beware of the hype!  Here is the video.

Sundays on the patio of the Drake Hotel

1150 Queen Street West

http://www.thedrakehotel.ca

Sundays on the Patio at the Drake Hotel is awesome!  Great music (old school reggae, and world music mixed in), great ambiance, friendly and good looking crowd, great food, and lovely drinks.  Prompt service may be hit and miss, but take a look around and see how busy the servers are!  This a very social scene, and you will make acquaintances easily.  We have spent many hours whiling away the time here this summer.  Your hard earned $100/person can get you about 4-5 hours of socializing time if you want to eat and drink.  Open year round, the “Sky Yard” patio is located on Drake’s rooftop.  In the spring, summer and fall, it features palm trees, various seating options including outdoor couches (almost verging on being beds), communal teak tables, and a theater sized screening wall and outdoor murals.

A very breezy island style theme in the summer.  And soon to be hot bed of stylish scenesters during the 2008 TIFF.

Scale of 0-10 (10 being the best)
